This year, MotherSpeak broadened the scope of our work. Along with our deep examination of war and its effects on people and communities around the world, we examine the effects on our shared environment. As globalization and neoliberalism expands, these effects - including contamination, disease, and epidemic resource depletion - become more obvious. We respond to this global crisis and join or form networks of concerned and active individuals and communities.
Our projects and partners are local and international and we bring fresh, unfiltered voices of 'ordinary' people directly from conflict zones. Our weekly, hour-long radio show also airs current topics and connects people around the world.
You are invited to share your story with us! Tell of a place that is important to you that has undergone -- or is undergoing -- change. How long did you or your family live there? Why is it important to you? What is happening with the land now? What, if anything, are you or your community doing about it? Learn more >>
